Do you know a student in the Atlanta region who is looking for an opportunity to grow their leadership skills? A student who cares about housing affordability, protection of greenspace, and other issues facing metro Atlanta? If so, then the region’s premier leadership program, Model Atlanta Regional Commission (MARC), is a great opportunity.

Please read on for more information and feel free to share the 2022 flyer!

MARC is the only program of its kind to involve students in experiential learning in real-world areas affecting life here in metro Atlanta. For more than two decades, it has engaged young people on the latest in transportation, natural resource sustainability, and community development.

MARC participants meet once a month for six months as they take part in hands-on activities, behind-the-scenes tours, and thought-provoking discussions with local civic leaders and experts as they develop their own actionable solutions to the challenges facing us.

The 2022-2023 MARC program application is now open to rising 10th and 11th grade students who reside or attend school in the 11-county Atlanta region (Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties, and the City of Atlanta) and are interested in learning how they can act to make metro Atlanta an even better place to call home.

The program is free to attend. Applications are due by April 15, 2022 and space is limited. Apply Here
